Concepted in 2000 to celebrate the new millennium, 1800 Milenio is the exceptional result of a union between 250 years of family traditions and 11 generations of expert tequila making, using avant garde aging and distillation techniques It begins with 100 Percent Blue Weber Agave, picked at the peak of ripeness and carefully steamed in traditional masonry ovens for 36 hours, yielding the richest, most flavoured nectar. This liquid is then slowly double distilled in copper pot stills, then refined in cognac casks for added character and complexity After prolonged aging in new American Oak barrels for approximately 40 months, the very best tequila of the batch is separated by our expert tequileros. That select tequila is then further matured in French Oak ex cognac barrels for an additional four months, which imparts a unique character and complexity Colour: Dark Amber with bright copper and gold nuances. Aroma: Lighlty toasted oak wood, vanilla, almond, walnut, chocolate, honey, prune, red fruits, very ripe fig, banana and apples Flavour: Rich, roasted oak, an elegant marriage of agave and spices.
