Holds the eye open: the thimble supports the eye of the wire rope, so the loop keeps its shape and the load is spread around the curve instead of one tight point. Made to DIN 6899B: shape and dimensions to DIN 6899, confirmed by the manufacturer's declaration of conformity. Zinc coated steel: carbon steel with a zinc coating against corrosion, so the fitting keeps its surface in service rather than relying on the steel alone. Sized for 6mm rope: eye length (L) 24.5mm (0.96in), eye width (C) 16.0mm (0.63in), thimble width (A) 7.5mm (0.30in) and dimension s 2.2mm (0.09in), with the groove profile of this size; eleven sizes from 3mm to 20mm. Pack of 50, simple to fit: 50 thimbles for 6mm rope, for wire rope eyes in rigging assemblies, fencing and balustrade wire runs, tie-down loops, and steel, timber and concrete structures where elements are tied together.
