The Ferro Rod | 3" Hive Fire Starter: The rod is hexagonal with six flat sides for a bigger striking surface, creating larger showers of sparks. The thick rod also allows for up to 20,000 strikes. Made with our Forest Fundamentals Ferrocenium blend: large showers of molten sparks, but not too soft to ensure longevity. Stealth Fire Strikers | Ultimate Ferro Rod Strikers: Made from heat-treated Steel, the strikers include 4hex bits, a beveled straight-edged tinder scraper/prying tool, and also functions as a bottle opener, a pretty handy feature when sitting around a campfire! Parrafin-Infused Wicks: Extremely slow-burning (30 mins burn-time). The wick will not extinguish in high winds and will ignite even after being submerged in water. With preparation, just 0.5" of the wick is needed to get a fire started. To extinguish, simply pull the wick back into the bellows chamber. Micro Pocket Bellows: If your fire needs some attention, you can simply pull out the wick and blow through the micro-bellows. The bellows make it possible to direct oxygen into the heart of the fire without singing your hair off! Handmade Waxed-Canvas Fire Mat: This versatile mat provides a stable base, off the damp ground for processing tinder shavings and using Ferro Rods. It's common for people to ignite the tinder on the mat and then transfer the flame into the tinder bundle. The mats are handmade using thick 12oz Cotton Canvas and waxed using Martexin Original Wax, for waterproofing and flame protection. Inside, there's a durable ABS plastic insert that ensures the mat stays rigid with use. 550 'Survival Cord' Lanyards: Includes materials including copper wire, fishing line, waxed jute, and parachute cord.
