Solid side grain magnolia wood block from Japan. These blocks are quite soft to cut and the grain can be cut across without difficulty. The surface of the wood is smooth making them ideal for areas of solid colour. These 10mm solid side grain blocks are nice and thick so both side can be carved.\nTo prepare for cutting we advise that you give the surface a quick sand along the grain with a fine 1000 grit paper.
