Gardeners Dream Split Peanuts are a very popular bird food due to their high calorific content and cleanliness. Being split means that they are kinder on younger/smaller birds as they are a lesser choking hazard than whole peanuts. Being rich in energy, fibre, vitamins and minerals, split peanuts are perfect for wild birds to maintain a healthy balanced diet. The natural oils contained within peanuts really help birds maintain glossy feathers and the texture of peanuts keep their beaks nice and sharp. Split peanuts will attract a variety of wild birds, as previously mentioned, smaller birds such as Wrens & Greenfinches are more likely to venture into your garden thanks to the splits being much easier for them to consume.
