The DeWalt DCG421 18V XR Cordless Compact Right Angle Die Grinder is a professional-grade cordless grinding tool designed for fabrication, metalworking, automotive, and maintenance applications. Powered by a 32mm brushless motor delivering up to 447 MWO, the DCG421 handles grinding, polishing, deburring, and surface preparation with consistent professional performance. Four selectable speed settings — 10,000, 15,000, 20,000, and 24,500 RPM — allow precise control across a wide range of materials and applications. The compact right angle design makes it well suited to confined spaces and awkward angles where conventional grinders cannot reach. Lightweight construction reduces operator fatigue during extended use, making it a practical choice for contractors working on demanding site tasks throughout the day. Safety features include an electronic brake that stops the accessory in under one second after trigger release, and an electronic clutch that reduces kickback in the event of a pinch or stall. An integrated LED light ring improves visibility in dark or enclosed workspaces, while mesh debris covers protect the motor and electronics from dust ingress for extended service life. Compatible with both 6mm and 1/4" collets, the DCG421 supports a broad range of accessories, and the spindle lock allows quick changes without additional tooling.
