The Spear and Jackson Razorsharp Advance Ratchet Action Anvil Secateurs are professional-grade cutting tools designed for tackling tough pruning tasks with minimal effort. Part of the comprehensive Razorsharp Advance range, these secateurs combine innovative ratchet mechanics with robust construction to make demanding garden maintenance significantly easier. The ratchet action mechanism allows users to complete cuts in four controlled steps, dramatically reducing the hand strength required for pruning thick, woody stems. This makes the secateurs particularly suitable for extended pruning sessions or for users who need to minimise hand fatigue. The anvil cutting action is specifically engineered for cutting dead, dry and woody branches, where the blade closes against a flat surface to deliver clean, effortless cuts. Built with a high carbon steel blade featuring PTFE coating, these secateurs deliver smooth, friction-free cutting action whilst resisting sap and debris build-up. The lightweight cast aluminium body keeps overall weight down without compromising durability, and the metal locking catch provides secure storage between tasks. Ideal for professional groundskeepers, landscapers and serious gardeners maintaining established plantings.
