The Spear and Jackson Traditional Stainless Steel Digging Spade is a premium garden spade designed for heavy-duty soil preparation and cultivation tasks. Built to professional standards with a mirror polished stainless steel blade, this digging spade combines traditional craftsmanship with modern corrosion-resistant materials. The stainless steel head offers superior rust resistance and prevents soil from sticking to the blade, making digging less laborious and reducing cleaning time after use. The weatherproofed hardwood shaft is crafted from a single piece of timber that has been split to create a distinctive wishbone handle, providing excellent strength and durability. This traditional construction method ensures the handle can withstand the rigours of heavy digging without weakening at joint points. The treaded head design provides greater comfort when applying foot pressure during demanding digging work, reducing fatigue during extended use. Ideal for establishing new borders, turning over vegetable plots, and breaking up compacted ground, this spade is suitable for both professional gardeners and serious enthusiasts. Backed by a 10 year guarantee, it demonstrates Spear and Jackson's confidence in the long-term performance of their Traditional range.
