The 16mm Draper Expert Bevel Edge Wood Chisel is a workhorse tool for standard joinery applications, offering the perfect blend of manoeuvrability and cutting capacity. This blade width excels in creating mortises for common door hinges, cleaning out housing dados and working on general furniture construction projects. Constructed from chrome vanadium steel that has been hardened, tempered and finely ground, this chisel maintains a razor-sharp edge through demanding daily use. The full-length bevel edged blade design provides excellent visibility of the cutting line and superior control during paring operations, whilst the solid impact-resistant soft grip handle ensures comfortable operation even during extended sessions. The innovative 'Pound Thru' striking end cap is engineered to withstand repeated mallet blows without splitting or mushrooming, making this 16mm chisel suitable for both hand-pressure precision work and heavy-duty chopping tasks.
