This adapter connects a U.2 SSD (SFF-8639) to an Oculink SFF-8611 port on a desktop or laptop. It is compatible with 2.5" PCIe NVMe SSDs in U.2 format and provides direct conversion from the SFF-8639 interface to PCIe Oculink for full NVMe performance. Fully hardware, this adapter requires no drivers and works with all operating systems. It supports all 2.5" U.2 NVMe SSDs. For proper operation of the U.2 SSD, a power supply must be connected via the SATA connector.
